Overview

We are currently recruiting a Procurement & Logistics Specialist to join a fast growing food manufacturer based in Yeovil, Somerset. Hours of work are Monday-Friday office hours and the company are offering a competitive salary.

The Role

• Ensure stock amount is correct & purchased on time
• Source competitive rates
• Develop and implement Supplier Relationship Management activity to manage performance and drive improvement.
• Manage the Supply Chain and Logistics functions.
• Support the planning, supply management, shipping, and warehouse function
• As the business continues to expand you will ensure the current supply base has the capacity to meet demand
• Benchmark shipping providers to ensure competitive pricing and a high-quality service
• Support the business in expanding

The Person

• Already operating within a Procurement / Supply Chain / Logistics role
• Have knowledge of working within a food manufacturing environment, and understand the requirements of the relevant food standards
• Have been responsible for supply chain and logistics functions
• Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Be able to multi-task and have good organisational skills
• Have good PC skills
